PAST EVENT

The Educators in VR Cyberbullying Team meets regularly to explore the dark side of the metaverse and how to shine a light on it. This is our networking meetup to bring experts and those passionate about together in the social VR community to discuss the challenges of dealing with toxic individuals, trolls, harassment, and cyberbullying across the metaverse.

This is an issue that impacts all of us, and is shocking when it happens to us. It's important to understand the reasons behind the toxicity as well as the tools to deal with it on platforms and protect our spirit as well.

The Educators in VR Cyberbullying Team meets regularly to explore all perspectives of toxicity in the metaverse and encourage standards and practices that keep virtual communities open, thriving, and healthy while encouraging safety and security for all. October is International Bullying and Cyberbullying Month and 2022 is the 4th year Educators in VR's Cyberbullying Team is hosting a month-long series of special events on the subject. If this is a passionate issue for you, please join our team.

Expect these sessions to touch upon sensitive areas. Please remember, these are NOT therapy sessions but may serve as support, sharing, and resource access opportunities.

Educators in VR is dedicated to integrating VR, AR, and XR into education and business. We host over 800 VR free and paid events, classes, workshops, and conferences annually covering all aspects of education. Educators in VR started in AltspaceVR when educators came together to solve their common challenges, and has grown to over 2,500 members from around the world, and over a dozen Team Projects (special interest groups).
